Iraq ~ al-Sadr threatens to raise arms against the presence of the CIA in Baghdad
Sadrist bloc said on Thursday that the Sadr movement will use the "military resistance" against the U.S. embassy for violating the sovereignty of Iraq by the presence of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency the (CIA) in it.
The MP said the Sadrist bloc Rafi Abd al-Jabbar's " Twilight News "," The official announcement of the continuation of the work of the (CIA) in Iraq after 2011, evidence of non-recognition of the U.S. security agreement which provides for the withdrawal of its forces, whether military or intelligence or security of Iraq by the end of 2011, "noting that" the United States to prove it did not recognize the sovereignty of Iraq.
A source in the Obama administration announced York Times newspaper that the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency is currently active in Iraq and has received a responsibility to help the security forces of the United States and will be a substitute for it a year after 2011.
He added that "Iraq is a country with full sovereignty and America should deal with this state Ktaamlha with any country is in the region and therefore the Sadrists reject categorically the presence (CIA) in Iraq after 2011."
He continued that "the Sadrist movement rejects the existence of U.S. intelligence in Iraq as evidence of the continuation of the U.S. administration to deal with Iraq in the spirit of the occupation and the spirit of sovereignty over its decisions," pointing out that "the Sadrist movement will resist militarily the U.S. embassy because the CIA from which a headquarters for its operations in Iraq." .
"The Sadrist movement stands fixed and does not change any existing U.S. force in Iraq, whether military or intelligence indicates that America is still occupied and comes from assurances from the Americans not to show their withdrawal."
Under the security pact signed between Baghdad and Washington at the end of November 2008 that it should withdraw all U.S. forces from all territories and waters and airspace of Iraq not later than 31 December of 2011 the current, having withdrawn U.S. combat forces under the Convention, of the cities and villages and towns in Iraq June 30, 2009.
The newspaper York Times recently reported that the U.S. military presence is now not exceed 200 people working at the U.S. embassy now.
