Endeavor's main business involves using automated strategies to trade U.S. government bonds and related futures contracts on markets run by Icap PLC, BGC Partners and CME Group Inc. The firm was founded in late 2007.

The purchase fills a gap for Sun, which has focused on electronic trading of U.S. and European shares as well as currencies. Sun also runs a private market for trading U.S. stocks with its clients.
