Iraqi cabinet approves road project linking the rapid passage of Iraq, Turkey and Syria

Iraq's cabinet approved a draft Highway No. 2, which links Baghdad with the Turkish and Syrian border to pass through the implementation mechanism of the Commission to negotiate with the Chinese side on the payment on credit.

The Council also referred the basic designs for the project to a company (Coy), Danish, authorize the Minister of Construction and Housing and referral to negotiate with them, while the project is implemented by a Chinese company.

Announced the government spokesman, Ali al-Dabbagh said on Thursday that "Implementation of Highway No. 2, which links Baghdad with the Turkish border and Syrian comes the interest of the Iraqi government on the implementation of strategic projects important to the economic sector in Iraq contribute to and directly raise the per capita income of Iraq through the facilitation of transport, transit and trade between Iraq and the Middle East and Europe for being the only land port which connects with Europe and the Middle West.

Dabbagh said that the Ministry of Construction and Housing has offered a Chinese company ready to implement the project in question.
