Washington has doubled its capacity in the Gulf to respond to any Iranian move
The commander of U.S. naval forces, Admiral Jonathan Greinert that his country would double its military capability in the Gulf to respond to any Iranian move possible.
The Admiral Greinert in a speech before members of the Senate on Thursday that Washington will increase the number of warships and helicopters for mine action in the Gulf, so as to prevent Tehran from the implementation of its threats to close the Strait of Hormuz.
Correlation is noted that currently in Bahrain four warships to combat mines belonging to the U.S. Fifth Fleet, knowing that the U.S. Navy has a total of 14 similar barge.
And Washington decided to also send four helicopters to combat mines from the model, "MH-53 Sea Dragon" to the region, bringing to eight the number of U.S. helicopters there.
