Baghdad, President Jalal Talabani stressed on the importance of continued efforts to achieve national harmony, urging all political forces to avoid leading to shipment and tense atmosphere.
A statement issued by the President of the Republic, and received (News Agency news) on Thursday: it is in the context of efforts to promote national unity and continue building State institutions and achieving understanding among the various political forces and parliamentary blocs, the Preparatory Committee held responsible for setting national meeting a series of meetings in which position and reflect on ways to resolve the disputed issues.
The statement noted: that the abundance and complexity of topics that should be discussed by the national meeting, has required further meetings and completing discussions with the aim of reaching complete solutions to existing problems.
The statement stressed the importance of continuing efforts to harmonize national urge all political forces to avoid everything that might lead to the shipment and tense atmosphere, and not to resort to the imposition of preconditions, as the dialogue table at the meeting is the best way to put all worries and problems.
This was the common perception and political forces which we call mechanism to convene a national meeting in the fifth month, and it is our regret that some parties take a negative attitude has led to postponement of the meeting.
The statement called upon the Preparatory Committee to intensify its efforts and reach understandings allow us to set a new date for the national meeting with the permission of Allaah soon.
