President of the Republic receives the U.S. ambassador to Iraq
His Excellency President Jalal Talabani in Baghdad on Friday 05/25/2012, Ssadoralolayat United States to Iraq, James Jeffrey and his accompanying delegation on the occasion of the end of his duties in Iraq and thanked President Talabani for his support.
At the outset of the meeting, which was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ruz Nuri Shaways, discussed the course of friendly relations between the Republic of Iraq and the United States, where President Talabani stressed the need to ensure Ttoiralalaat Ptedeid and expand those relationships which serve the common interests of the peoples of the two friendly countries.
His Excellency praised during his speech that the efforts made by Ambassador Jeffrey, in the promotion of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, wishing him success in his life and Muwafaqiya future.
In another aspect of the meeting exchanged views on latest developments on the political situation and the difficulties faced by the ongoing political process in the country, said President of the Republic Amadah in his tireless efforts to encourage the political parties on the need to resort to dialogue and fraternal work together to resolve outstanding problems and that by appealing to Constitution and the implementation of existing agreements and understandings.
New turn, Ambassador James Jeffrey, U.S. interest in supporting the political process and democracy in Iraq, stressing that the development of bilateral relations between Iraq and the United States will benefit both parties.
In conclusion, through Ambassador Jeffrey great gratitude to President Talabani for their hospitality and continuous support during his duties in Iraq, praising the fateful turn in addressing the outstanding issues, particularly in times of crisis in order to protect the gains achieved in the new Iraq.
