A statement from the presidency that President Jalal Talabani and U.S. Ambassador Jeffrey Hims today in search of the political situation and ways of finding a comprehensive solution to all outstanding issues.

And President Talabani and the U.S. ambassador should continue to strive towards strengthening the democratic experiment in Iraq and make the necessary efforts in order to reach solutions satisfactory to all parties.
For his part, U.S. Ambassador James Jeffrey to continue his country's support and assistance for all Iraqi parties to reach a comprehensive agreement.
