Said Mark Lyall Grant, Britain's permanent representative to the United Nations, said he decided to hold the vote in the UN Security Council draft resolution on measures to stop the violence in Syria next Wednesday.

The British representative in this regard that the vast majority of the members of the Security Council supports the Western project, but "Russia and China have opposed as before a decision under Chapter VII
It should be noted that the UN Security Council is currently considering two of the resolution on Syria, the first provided by Russia to extend the mandate of the mission of international observers for a period of 3 months.
The second project presented by the Western countries, ending with a period of extended observers for 45 days only, giving 10 days notice to the Syrian government to stop the violence and withdraw its forces from residential areas.
In the absence of commitment to Damascus this requirement provides for the Western project of sanctions under Chapter VII of the UN Charter, which allows the use of military force.
