Committee on oil and energy stresses that the enactment of the oil and gas will be followed by the formation of the Federal Council

And the Federal Council for the oil and gas Commission is proposed in the draft 2007 law of oil and gas. Under the Bill, the Council will be given the power to review all contracts and identify oil and gas policies and give the Council played a crucial role in the future development of the oil sector in Iraq, and effective control over their natural resources
