World Bank funded Iraq to create quick ways

Baghdad, Ministry of construction held intensive meetings with the World Bank on the projects to be financed in the field of roads and bridges by the Bank.

The Minister of construction and housing the Mohammed daraji terrace ministerial delegation participating in the meetings of the projects financed by the World Bank in the field of roads and bridges in the Lebanese capital of Beirut.

The reconstruction Ministry said in a statement today, Thursday, received/JD/copy: "the Iraqi delegation held extensive meetings with representatives of the World Bank on the projects to be financed in the field of roads and bridges by the Bank, including channel project dry and fast traffic road No. 2, which links the port of Umm Qasr to both Turkey and Iran and Syria and Jordan transnational network of highways".

The Ministry said "analdragi discussed a draft rehabilitation and maintenance by Highway 1, which runs from southern Iraq Safwan and Basra regions when the Syrian and Jordanian borders in accordance with the technical specifications.

Darragi said the road will be fully rehabilitated in fences and refurbishing as well as break stations according to the basic design of the road.

She drew the Ministry of construction and housing "the meetings yielded positive results will be reflected in the form of interesting projects in the field of highways and bridges, and the next phase will be very cooperative with the World Bank to fund strategic projects and create quick ways economically feasible task.
