Parliament calls for the economy of the Iraqi Central Bank to pay the dues of the creditors of Warka
Baghdad, Commission asked for the economy and investment representative, Sunday, the Iraqi Central Bank to pay all the money of citizens who deposited in the Warka Bank of Iraq Investment and Finance, who suffered a financial crisis, saying that many of the citizens' complaints against the Warka Bank came to the Commission.
The Iraqi central bank decided last week to develop and guardianship to the Warka Bank, one of the largest Iraqi banks because of the deterioration of fiscal policy.
The bank said that the imposition of guardianship and the Warka Bank came to save him.

March 20th Spring Equinox And Nowruz ..The Persian New Year ...
Welcome to Spring!As most know, March 20th is the Spring Equinox.
The yearly transition from winter to spring...from the death of winter to the life of spring when all things are made new and fresh on the dawn of a new day.
But what many do not know, is that the Spring Equinox also marks the beginning of the new year .... this is the oldest marker for the new year known to man.
So what is so special about the Spring Equinox on March 20th?
Well, what we have right now is one of the oldest marked celebrations in the world ... the Ancient New Year .... this is a festival that pre-dates all religious rite and ceremony and is still celebrated to this day.
The ancient name for this day is Nowruz [pronounced NO-ROOZ] in Persian means "New-[year]-day".
It is the beginning of the year for the people of Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, and Tajikistan. Other Asian republics of the former Soviet Union are joining the group, and the latest report says that Turkey too has decided to declare Nowruz a holiday.
It is also celebrated as the new year by the people of the Iranian stock, particularly the Kurds, in the neighboring countries of Georgia, Iraq, Syria, and Turkey. It begins precisely with the beginning of spring on vernal equinox, on about March 20, 21.
In Kurdistan Nowruz is the most important day of the year and is marked by great celebration and joy.
Tradition takes Nowruz as far back as 15,000 years and that goes beyond the last ice age. King Jamshid (Yima or Yama of the Indo-Iranian lore) symbolizes the transition of the Indo-Iranians from animal hunting to animal husbandry and a more settled life in human history. Seasons played a vital part then. Everything depended on the four seasons. After a sever winter, the beginning of spring was a great occasion with mother nature rising up in a green robe of colorful flowers and the cattle delivering their young. It was the dawn of abundance. Jamshid symbolizes the person/people who introduced Nowruz celebrations.
Shi'i traditions attributed to the Imams endorsed the observance of Naw-Rúz, which was, it was said, the day of many events of great religious significance, among them God's first covenant with mankind, the first rising of the sun, the grounding of Noah's ark on Ararat, Gabriel's first appearance to Muhammad, the destruction of the idols in the Ka'bih by 'Alí, Muhammad's appointment of 'Ali as His successor, the appearance of the Qa'im, and the final triumph of the Qa'im over the Antichrist.
Such traditions echoed similar accounts of Naw-Rúz found in Zoroastrian literature.
So this most Ancient of Days...Nowruz is said to be the day that Noah's Ark came to rest and as Noah came forth from the Ark he saw Gods promise and covenant...the Rainbow. The New Day.
So March 20th marks the day that Noah first saw the Rainbow set in sky as his promise and covenant to all of mankind.
So here we are...on the dawn of a new day....Nowruz.
Also did you know March 20th 2010 marks the 7th year anniversary of the start of the War in Iraq?
March 20th 2003 was the begining of the Iraq war and here we are 7 years later....will March 20th 2010 mark the true start of the "New Day"?
May all the world be blessed with peace on this new day and may the promise of the Rainbow seen by Noah on this day centuries ago again bring hope promise and peace to all of mankind and may March 20th 2012 mark the birth of this New Day for all and may the promise of the Rainbow be made manifest for all mankind.

Aircraft Carrier Enterprise Sets Off On Final Journey - Direction Iran
Today at noon Eastern, the storied aircraft carrier Enterprise, aka
CVN-65, left its home port of Naval Station Norfolk one final time for its final voyage with a heading: Arabian Sea, aka Iran.
There in a week it will join CVN 72 Lincoln and CVN 70 Vinson, as well as LHD 8 Makin Island, all of which are supporting any potential escalation of "hostilities" in the Persian Gulf region.
As a reminder, back in January we learned that the Enterprise's final voyage will be in proximity to Iran, and in the meantime, the aircraft carrier held extended drills off the Florida coast to attack a "faux theocracy" consisting of fundamentalist "Shahida" states.
Why the Arabian Sea in about 7-10 days will be home to not two but three aircraft carriers and a big deck amphibious warfare ship is very much an open question, although we may have some thoughts.

In harmony with the rebirth of nature, the Iranian New Year Celebration, or NORUZ (NowRuz), always begins on the first day of spring. Nowruz ceremonies are symbolic representations of two ancient concepts - the End and the Rebirth; or Good and Evil.
A few weeks before the New Year, Iranians clean and rearrange their homes. They make new clothes, bake pastries and germinate seeds as sign of renewal.
The ceremonial cloth is set up in each household. Troubadours, referred to as Haji Firuz, disguise themselves with makeup and wear brightly colored outfits of satin. These Haji Firuz, singing and dancing, parade as a carnival through the streets with tambourines, kettle drums, and trumpets to spread good cheer and the news of the coming new year.
The origins of NoRuz are unknown, but they go back several thousand years predating the Achaemenian Dynasty. The ancient Iranians had a festival called "Farvardgan" which lasted ten days, and took place at the end of the solar year. It appears that this was a festival of sorrow and mourning, signifying the end of life while the festival of NoRuz, at the beginning of spring signified rebirth, and was a time of great joy and celebration

Office of the President announced in an official statement tonight that his personal physician accompanying President Jalal Talabani said the president would return home a few days to participate in the celebrations of Nowruz celebration, and chair of the Arab summit which is being held in Baghdad later this month.
The statement added that the President of the Republic, who had underwent surgical intervention in Germany, conducted a series of tests in the United States has shown that his health is very stable and reassuring.

Revealed senior military source at the Ministry of Defense announced the completion of the security plan for the Conference of the Arab Summit, which will begin next Wednesday, adding that the agreement took place between the military leadership and with the consent of the Commander in Chief of the armed forces of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to use Baktat the Iraqi army in some provinces to Baghdad forces to promote the implementation of the plan.
An officer with the rank of major general in the Ministry of Defense declined to be named in the statement singled out by the Agency (news) said on Sunday: The security committee charged with preparing a security plan for the Conference of the Arab Summit to be held in Baghdad the end of the current, out a plan and will apply with effect from next Wednesday.
He added that the plan will be on the two axes, and backed by the center of a service, which is the first axis to secure the capital, in general, and the second for the guests, where will forces (police, army) to secure the capital, in addition to the civilian components of intelligence, and this represents the first axis of the plan, while the second axis on secured the protection of the guest, Vsttoly counter-terrorism force (the band Golden) Add to prepare and train officers to protect the figures will be within the second axis, which has been granted full power of the forces that will be responsible for the second axis, to avoid the occurrence of any conflict of powers or the administration security, and continued either axis Atdhan service of the secretariat of Baghdad, which Ststnfr their efforts before, during and after the summit to show properly Baghdad, as well as the continued work of traffic police continue to break the traffic congestion, and traffic regulation.

Iraq expects Kuwait will write off loans: Dabbagh
Maliki asks Kuwaitis to invest in Baghdad
KUWAIT CITY, The Kuwaiti suggestion to convert the compensation, which Iraq has to pay to Kuwait, into investments cannot solve the problem because Iraq is not responsible for acts committed by Saddam Hussein, spokesman of the Iraqi government Dr Ali Al-Dabbagh told Al-Anba daily.
He said Iraq has already paid $30 billion in compensation and another $4 billion last and expects Kuwait to take a lenient view of the situation given the fact the United Arab Emirates, Russia and other countries have dropped their due loans in the best interests of the Iraqi nation.
He added the Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki has strong desire to settle all pending files with the Kuwaiti government.
Asked if the prime minister will ask during his visit to Kuwait to write off the debts, Al-Dabbagh said “this is an old request and all officials request the loans to be dropped during their visits.” He pointed out all files will be tackled during the visit such as the common oilfields, the airlines, the two cases of missing persons and the archive.
